ARGUS TV on Github

Post by dot-i » Thu Dec 27, 2012 4:08 pm

The first small steps have been taken in setting up the ARGUS TV Github repositories.

Check it out at https://github.com/ARGUS-TV! :)

Right now the two MediaPortal plugins are in the repositories. Next step will be to add more of the clients.

Feel free to fork the repositories, play around with the code, and of course submit pull requests with interesting and cool enhancements! :mrgreen:

I just added the source code for the Messenger and the Notifier to Github.

Especially the Messenger may be interesting to people that would like look at adding support for other chat networks (especially since Windows Live Messenger is being replaced by Skype now).

Sorry to be a pain but any update on the main recorder source? As mentioned before I'm keen to try and implement OpenTV support including LCN detection.

+1, while it's great that more and more parts are being added, clearly the one we're all waiting for is the one that does the meaty work :)

:)

As I've said before, I'm going one step at a time ;) Since I need to clean things up, keep the solution & setup building, etc... I also still need to figure out exactly what license to use for what parts (anyone here an expert on open-source licenses? :mrgreen:).

What is it that you want to achieve for the product with application of the licence?

Is everything in the source tree "clean"?...or did you borrow some other, already licensed material?

I have difficulties to compile the Media Portal client. To start with, I'm missing these types' declaration and implementation:

DateTime StartTimeUTC;
DateTime StopTImeUTC;
DateTime RecordingStartTimeUTC;
DateTime RecordingStopTimeUTC;

Where can I find them?

Cheers,

Ah yes, mea culpa. These are newer changes that go with 2.1 BETA 1.

May I suggest you create a local branch based on the commit just before 'utc-switch' was merged into master? At first glance: 37ba6a9e30

That explains why. I actually went back to b3038db677 and build works fine.

One more question: What exactly is the difference between the projects ArgusTV.UI.MediaPortal and ArgusTV.UI.MediaPortal12?

Cheers
