Creating tvshow.nfo files

Before I embark on a bit of scripting to create nfo files to make sure some of my recordings make their way into xbmc/kodi, has anyone done something similar. My thoughts at the moment are reading in the arg file, then creating the tvshow.nfo from that but keep a list of tv and series ID's to override e.g. The Apprentice would become The Apprentice UK.
