Have you ever had a perfect stream from this USB device?
Could it be that your USB bus is quite busy?

What about drivers? Any tweaking possible there?
Power settings for USB and the PC itself?

It's a strange problem that must originate somewhere

No, i always had issues with HD streams, so i used it with SD only. But since quite time, there are no SD streams anymore (french), so i'm forced to use HD streams..

I tried my USB key on two different controllers : the one built in motherboard, and another one on a PCI card : both have the issue.

I updated my DVB-T card driver to the lastest : same issue.

No.

Sure, but i made a lot of tests and i'm thinking that the pb is maybe hardware (the key itself..)

If the USB device is the issue, then we can't help you I guess. What about buying another device?
I've got three PCI cards with in total 5 tuners and can record 12 channels in max 5 streams without any issues. So I'd go for an internal card if possible

Hay nonobio,
USB tuners are sensitive to latency, did you try recording with 'Cool & Quiet' disabled in the bios?

You could try some other stuff from here. Also have a look at your systems latency with Thesycon’s DPC Latency Checker or Resplendence Software LatencyMon.

Anyone with an Intel system and high latency could try disabling 'CPU C6 sleep' in the bios and uninstalling the Intel network driver, use the Microsoft driver for the network instead.

Good luck.

Hi,

I tried with Cool n Quiet disabled : same issues.
I started DPC latency monitor : it doesn't show any latency (red bar) while live TV (VLC) when artifacts occurs.
I tried Latency monitor but i have an error message (can't open existing file), but it does the same job than DPC Latency check, isn't ?

I didn't tried your "others stuffs". Do you have any recommendations ?

Thanks
