Any of you run task scheduler to reboot on Argus errors?

Post by fishsticks » Mon Nov 14, 2016 2:18 am

I presume I am not the only one who gets errors once in a while e.g. Returned Card Error: ProgramNotFound. When I manually reboot this goes away. Unfortunately it can be some time before I catch this error so until then I miss recordings. Is there a way to link the Argus log error to trigger a Windows reboot using Task Scheduler?

In the Windows Event Viewer does the error have a non-zero EventID?

...this looks like an entire technical issue with your hardware or software drivers for your card(s), not Argus related.
I never had these kind of problems and system uptimes even greater than 1 year.
You are looking for a painkiller instead of a cure, I'd think.

This is related to weak signal. Some muxes become too weak at certain times and attempting to record eventually causes issues. I thought it was a hardware issue but it isn't. I had other Argus errors before which dot-i had ackowledged was to be fixed by changing something about errors not using a certain Windows component or other.
