Hi,
I installed v2.3 RC a few months back, was going to move over to the proper 2.3 release. However, when I run the install program, it detects a missing MS 2013 C++ redistributable and wants to install them. However they are already installed. Even if I uninstall it, and then reinstall using the 2.3 install (and then reboot), the install program still doesn't detect them, and therefore will not progress.
I've stopped the both the recorder and scheduler services, and retried but it makes no difference
O/S: WinServer 2012 R2E
Any suggestions please?
v2.3: C++ redistributables not detected
Re: v2.3: C++ redistributables not detected
I also tried downloading the redistributable direct from MS website, but it makes no difference
I also get the same issue if I run the install program for 2.3RC, which is just odd since I clearly used that installer previously and it worked
Frustrating since obviously I can't actually install 2.3

Re: v2.3: C++ redistributables not detected
How does the install program check that the redistrubtables are installed? Googling I found a suggested registry key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DevDiv\vc\Servicing\12.0\RuntimeMinimum) but the Install value is set to 1, so I am guessing you use something different?

Any thoughts?
Keen to move from 2.3 RC to 2.3, but can't due to this.
Tried repairing SQLExpress 2012, but that made no difference
Would be useful if someone could say how the install program attempts to detect the C++ installation
