[SOLVED] Notifier won't connect

Post by geoffstewart » Tue Jan 06, 2015 2:46 am

Hi all,

I cannot seem to get the notifier to connect. The attached picture shows what happens when I test the connection.

It defaulted to use port 49941 but fails the same way.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Geoff

Have you tried adding username and password?

I have had the same issue and could not resolve it with different ports or a user name and pw. Let me know if and how you solve this issue.

@lisag wins it :)

I don't remember putting a username and password in there before... It's the username password that you enter during install and that is used to access the webaccess... I thought that was only for webaccess, but clearly not.

Also, port 49941 is the correct port after all.

Thanks all for your suggestions.

I am having the same problem this a new install I was running NPVR but wanted to run this instead. My install went smooth however at the install point where web access credentials are to be created the default port # was different from the 49941 mine had 480xx so I changed it to the 49941 as mentioned in this thread. Then during install I received a message that the port was changed to a totally different number. I have snap shots of the alerts but I am using Tapatalk to post and can't upload pics. Man I really need some help I am close to getting this up and running just need some help from the experts in this forum.
