Digital devices cine S2 vs TBS

Post by nuyts » Mon Jan 19, 2015 10:57 am

Hi all,,

I'm currently running on a TBS6981 dual channel card and I'm suffering from time to time with bad reception, slow zapping and a lot of pixelation (blocks)...
I realigned my sat dish and notice that it's a lot better now...
On the other hand I do get from time to time "no signal".
Trying immediate again the same channel will give a signal of about 80% and great reception...
(I'm using diseqc, but that seems to be running fine).
I heard that the TBS6981 isn't the best card and I'm thinking to switch to the Digital devices Cine2 S2.
Does someone have any experience with this card? Is it better and faster or more of the same?

thanx!

All,

just to let you know: I changed to the cine S2 and the reception is much better.
From 85 to 99->100% of Signal.

great!

I have the Cine S2 for several years and it’s very good. No problems and I’m using diseqc.

Would recommend this card.

I am using 2 cards (4 tuners in total) without any problem for 2+ years. ArgusTV and Cine S2 is a very stable combination. I would strongly advice as well.
