Hide channels that do not have EPG information

Hey Dot-i!

In many parts of the world, various channels only work at certain times of the day (i.e. after 6pm) or they go silent for a few weeks if they're special event channels. How easy would it to code the ability to hide channels that do not have any EPG information, i.e. If the EPG data is stored and it is known that there is nothing for say 12 hours then hide it from the Mediaportal/XBMC UI until the program is active (but still show it in scheduler)?

Is it something 'easy' to implement or is the logic a lot harder to sort out?
