Deleting recoding not deleting the actual file

Post by Jim42 » Sun Jun 21, 2015 6:43 pm

Hi,

Just moved over to ArgusTV from Windows Media Centre last weekend and have everything working. The installation is just a standard one with everything on same machine running under the LOCAL SYSTEM account & UAC paths check out fine.

Everything records just fine, but when I delete a recoding in the scheduler application or Kodi its removed form the list, but the actual file still exists on the hard drive. The only errors in the log files is from thumbnail generator failing to create the thumbnail due to permissions.

Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Jim

Did you ever find a solution - I have the same issue. Strong feeling it did delete to start with, though, and nothing has been changed.

I also get the thumbnail create error, and again, originally it did create thumbnails correctly. So I suspect the two come back to the same permissions issue. The services are all running from LocalSystem user and as far as I can see, permissions are OK.

Check the permissions on the recording share.

I had the same problem and now it's working after assigning write permission to the share.

You can check it under:
ARGUS TV Scheduler Console -> Administration -> Recorders -> Test Shares
