Skin files for MediaPortal StreamedMP skin

Post by andrewNZ » Tue Nov 13, 2012 10:38 am

There are two packages available here. The original for MediaPortal 1.2.3, and the new one for Mediaportal 1.3.0 Alpha. You can use these packages, or alternatively, you can rename the existing files yourself. See the MediaPortal Skins thread for info.

Edit 15/11/2012:
New file uploaded
  • • Removed unnecessary file "arcsoftplayer.xml".
    • Replaced "ARGUS_TvGuide.xml".
    • Replaced "ARGUS_RadioGuide.xml".
Hopefully these two files will give all guide size options. If they don't, you can delete them and rename the 4TR_TvGuide.xml and 4TR_RadioGuide.xml files in the directory.

Edit 17/11/2011:
Included the MediaPortal 1.3.0 Aplha package. Thanks go to mod77 for this one.

Edit 15/11/2012:
New file uploaded
  • • Used Files from fresh install of latest StreamedMP(1.7.8.3202).
    • Replaced 4tr references in 5 xml files.
    • Included ARGUS_RecordedTv2.xml as a separate download.
ARGUS_RecordedTv2.xml is the file responsible for causing the blank recorded programs screen. It may work for 1.3.0ALPHA.

You can fix it, or you can fix it until it's broken. I usually choose the latter.

I found that it only has the config for 8 channel TV Guide. If you use more, e.g. then its better to rename the default 4tr ones in StreamedMP instead.

Hmmm, that'll be because I copied the files from my install. Don't suppose you know which file is responsible for the guide size, might help users by giving them one to rename instead of many.

I believe it will be 4TR_GUIde.xml as this contains the four different channel configs. I'll confirm tonight when i get home from work and zip all the config files up so you can replace the ones in your post, keep them all together in the right place. Perhaps then make it a sticky?

With any luck, they will only be required until the next StreamedMP release.

A new version of the file would be good, but I wonder if a user is better off renaming that file, I only need an 8 channel guide.

The proper 4tr file has all channels styles in it, 8, 12, 16 and the other one... so it is the better option.

Hi andrewNZ,
i have the problen that no recordings are listed in MP.
It shows a blank screen with the following Message in the left bottom corner.

#TV.RecordedTV.Diskinfo.PercentageUsed %:

I use MP 1.3.0 ALPHA
Streamedmp v1.8.1.3172

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks

There are probably differences between 1.2.x and 1.3.x files. You may need to rename your existing files instead.

To me, the prime suspect looks like the file "ARGUS_RecordedTvInfo.xml" I'd start with that one.
You can fix it, or you can fix it until it's broken. I usually choose the latter.

As I'm running both version of MP at the moment on various clients, I'll do a zip of both and if Andrew would be so kind, upload them here. Then at least until StreamedMP is updated formally with ARgus we have the files that work. Should make it easier!

@andrewNZ
i have used and updated your provided package. I hope it's ok.

@Benoire
can you test it with your MP 1.3.0 ALPHA installation?
