Live TV in XBMC is choppy

Post by kamalman » Wed Jan 02, 2013 3:57 am

I have followed the XBMC + Argus TV wiki and installed the newest version of Frodo and the latest version of Argus TV. In the Argus Scheduler I can view Live TV (With VLC player) without any issues. All my broadcast channels come in perfectly with no issues or choppiness.

However, in XBMC when I view live tv channels using the Argus TV PVR addon, every chennel is choppy and freezes periodically. I have attempted to tweak the settings in XBMC in the TV settings, as well as the Video settings. Nothing has fixed the issue.

Has anyone else had this experience? Any help to resolve would be greatly appreciated.

You should also do the following two things while watching video, try if it's better to change video settings of "interlace" to inactive
Scaling method to bilinear if that exists in your setup.
If it seems to be solved, save this as default settings for all video playback
