I have the ArgusTV XBMC client running on the Raspberry Pi. When a new recording is added to a list (coming in at the top of a date sorted list) it won't play. If I move to the item below I can play the item. Once I stop the playing I can then play the original new item.
I'm using the TV remote to navigate, I'm not sure if behavior would be different if direct play API commands were used.
Hopefully my description makes sense.
Great work btw, I'm finding Argus TV and this client very useful.

Re: Recreatable bug (unable to play a new recording)
Hmmm, difficult to say.
I have this only when using Frodo 12 on a ftp-connected drive.
This is rather an xbmc issue, I personally think. It sometimes won't play. Can you check if it plays when not selecting the "next item" but terminating xbmc and restarting it and then immediately select the currently recorded file? This would definitively point to an xbmc issue...

The file does play when restarting XBMC, this was my old way of playing the file before I discovered the play-stop on the below file method.
