ARGUS TV

When I use Kodi (latest beta) or previous versions of XBMC, I can watch currently in progress recordings, however when I start a recording 5 minutes later, I can skip forward 5 minutes and then playback will stop, cause playback doesn't know the file is growing.

At first I thought this would be a problem in the playback of Kodi/XBMC, however in this topic http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=139793, there are some people referring to the PVR cliënts which have resolved this issue.

Is there a possibility to fix this in the Argus client?


If I just let it play the recording everything goes fine and it will continue even after 5 minutes.
I currently use MediaPortal with Argus client which does not have this problem.

Yes I have noticed this too. I'm not sure that it is an addon issue. Basically the addon reports the (growing) filesize to the XBMC video player. And that should act accordingly.

I would love for this functionality to be added to the Argus add on for Kodi.

From my testing it works fine with the dvbviewer and the dvblink add ons but not for Argus.

Does anyone have any technical expertise to make the Argus add on continue to play currently recording TV shows?

I would also like to see this added. It is currently not usable to watch a recording in progress.

Well, you can watch a recording in progress but if you reach where the live stream has got to it just stops playback, whereas ideally it would just keep playing what is effectively then 'live' and simply not allow skipping forward.

You know, I'm almost certain the MediaPortal plugin was doing this in UNC mode at one point. Talking a couple of years back. May be the same issue.

Still a problem. I struck it last night using Kodi 16b2 on Windows.
