Hi,
starting with kodi 15 rc1 (also tested with nightly build from 3rd july and one from 11th july), navigation with keyboard in the menu gets stuck after about every 3rd to 4th keystroke. i rolled back to nightly build from before rc1 (KodiSetup-20150625-6f9dfa4-master.exe) and this build doesn't have the issue.
Today i found, that the problem is related to enabling TV.
Since i'm using Argus-TV plugin, i post the problem here as well...

Re: Isengard rc1 - navigation with keyboard stuck
Hi Werner
I doubt that the root cause is the ATV-plugin.
It also encounters, when the scrapers start to scrape and (everytime) when the scanning of directories starts. It's rather a system issue of handling parallel processes of the new Isengard in my opinion.
And: don't forget, the RC's are built in debug mode, the release will have a much faster executable.

Try out the RC2, which came out today - first impression: much more responsive... just by itself

hi chris,
i just mentioned argus because it's the tv-plugin i'm using and the latest kodi releases are having an issue for me when enabling tv. could easily be that other plugins are having the same issue, i just can't test it.
i think i have already tried rc2 and i will continue to try new nightly builds.
and... it's not the speed of the build that is the problem. i'm still using a pre-rc1 nightly that is for sure also built in debug mode. this was the last one i found not having the "getting stuck in menus" problem.

FIXED: Re: Isengard rc1 - navigation with keyboard stuck
seems that the pre-15.1 isengard test version downloaded from this thread solves my problems

(KodiSetup-20150728-5f24ccd-Isengard.exe)
probably this listed fix is doing the trick: "pvr: fix holding lock while querying backend"
no more stuttering in the menus, and live-tv...

Re: SOLVED: Isengard rc1 - navigation with keyboard stuck
Thanks Werner!
So it was definitively a Kodi and a parallel processing issue...
GOOD news!
