Uffhh.. that sounds hard.
By the way: did you re-check the behaviour comparing it to MediaPortal TV-Server, WMC, and/or PCTV? Does this occur there, too?
If not - it's probably not a BIOS issue.
Do you get the glitches at nearly the same elapsed time of the recording (if you compare SD to SD and HD to HD)?
Maybe this is the "switch" to the next timeshift buffer file? You might try to play with those settings, too? (I made best experience with default or even slightly smaller files, by the way...)

Yes, the glitches are present in MediPortal-TV-Server and Argus-TV. PCTV is, as far, as I have tested, fine.
Hmm, now, that you mention it... Yes, it seems to be in a nearly fixed period... Will turn down the size of the buffer and try it again, thanks!

Your tip worked like a charm! I get the cleanest results for a long, long time!
Next, I will test, if it even fixed the problem with the PCTV-Stick...

Dear Aretin,
I'm very glad that it seems to work.
Could you please keep us updated if the PCTV stick is also working? I'd like to take out the "general warning" I put in the ATV PCTV wiki article.
I wish you & your family a Merry Christmas -
Christoph

Still not better with the PCTV-Stick... I just got a record of "once Upon a time" de-muxed (via ProjectX): 111958 errors and warnings altogether. Will do the USB-Rotation once again, check the cables, etc, but, I don't think, that this stick will ever be usefull for me, sadly.

Hi All,
Just wanted to sign up to say that I had this exact issue with my PCTV nanostick T2, in the end I worked out that the issue was due to insufficient power over the USB Bus - I had a USB flash disk plugged in to another USB port that was also drawing power from the same bus, unfortunately the PCTV stick requires a full 500mA from the bus. You can check this in windows in device manager then checking the power tab of the properties of the USB Root Hubs.
Hope this helps.

Re: Problem with PCTV DVB-S2 Stick (460e): No usefull record
Just made a couple of records and they are all flawless.
Thank you!
The active USB-HUB (tip from N0DDY, thank you!) and the decreasing of the timeshift-buffer-size(tip from Christoph21x, thank you, too!) made it finally work. And really, really good, I must say. I admit, I allready gave up on the PCTV-Stick, but now, it works like a charm.
Thank you all for your great help and endurance on that topic!

Glad to hear it did the trick, I just rearranged the order of my usb devices until windows said that I only had the PCTV stick in the one hub.
