You can fix it, or you can fix it until it's broken. I usually choose the latter.

I changed the Advanced Settings for the HDHomerun as per the link and both recordings were successful this time. Thanks.

Well, gee whiz, I guess I should of just looked at the logs and searched for my problem...

The problem I had was identical to this thread. It of course has the same solution as you outlined earlier.

Just a sidenote, apparently this isn't only an HDHomeRun issue as I have an "AVerMedia AVerTVHD Duet (A188)".
