SOLVED: Scan on specific frequency did not find any channels

Post by lan » Sat Mar 23, 2013 10:31 am

Animal planet and others changed channels a while ago and I therefore made a scan on the new frequency.

But look at this. My scan on my digital devices DVB S/S2 (cine s2 v6 with newest drivers/firmware) could not find the channels on 11.785 MHz/H S2 even though signal strength and quality are great.

I have also downloaded the newest satellite.xml before scanning.

Anyone got an idea why I can’t tune to Animal planet, Nat Geo etc.? I have a screen shot from lyngsat showing the channel details.

Other frequency scan fine and channels are found.

Using 4TR 1.7.0.0

I have more info.

The Nat Geo Wild HD and National Geographic channel plays fine.
Scanning the frequency shows “No signal”. But this is not true since strength and quality are 100 %.

I could not map the Animal planet HD channel because of the “No signal” but I guess that it would work if it was possible to manually type the frequency, fec_inner, dvb-s2, 8psk, sid, etc.

Maybe upgrading to newest public ARGUS 2.01 would help?

Is there anyone who can scan the frequency 11785 from 0.8W Thor 5/6 Intelsat 10-02(0.8W)?

Just so I know it can work.

I have just upgraded to ARGUS 2.0.1.

Frequency 11.785 was scanned without any problems! :D
Case closed.

PS: looking forward to AGUS 2.1 final.
