TBS 5980, DiSEqC problems

I'd appreciate some help with getting this card working with the Argus tuner. I've got a DiSEqC switch, and checked that this is supported with TBS, yet I can't reliably get a signal. I went over to using the MediaPortal TV server for a while and can scan and tune in OK with that, though I'd really prefer the Argus Recorder.

If I scan on Satellite 1 I will see a few channels located, then the 'No signal' shows for the rest of the transponders. If I scan on the 2nd Satellite, I get no signal on all transponders. The DiSEqC switch is set up correctly, and with MP tuner (and others), tunes on both satellites.

I've increased the wait for signal time up to 15 seconds, but can't see much else I can do with the user settings.Could someone help me go through a procedure to see where or why tuning is failing, and see if I can fix it?

I've attached logs. What I did was a full scan with DiSEqC A at 13.0E, and only found a signal for the first few transponders, the last 50 or so all gave no signal. DiSEqC B at 28.2E gave no signal on all but one transponder.

Then I scanned 13E again telling Argus that no DiSEqC was used, but it was actually still connected, and the transponders that before gave no signal now are tuned and services found.

So it seems that something is amiss when Argus is set to use the DiSEqC.

Hi,

Can you try the following files.

Stop the Argus TV Recorder service.

Make a backup of the following files.

\program files\Argus TV\Recorder\ArgusTV.Recorder.CardHost.exe
\program files\Argus TV\Recorder\ArgusTV.Recorder.Card.dll
\program files\Argus TV\Recorder\ArgusTV.Recorder.Graph.dll

Copy/overwrite the 3 files from the zip file to

\program files\Argus TV\Recorder\

Start the Argus TV Recorder service.

Try tuning and please report back.

Interesting, can you tell us what has been "fixed"?

I had lots of problems with my dual multi port LNB, that's why Im interested.

The toneburst and 22khz required for Simple diseqc wasn't sent to the card.

It is with this fix.

Hi there , i have a friend who has tbs 5922 usb dvb-s2 card , he has 4 port diseqc and also cant use any port other than the first one on argus tv (same setup works just fine under media portal) any chance you can post a fix/patch for him too ? the files you posted didnt help him but also made his dvb-t tuner non operational.

I have the same problem with a TBS 8922. The DiSEqC-switching does not work and there is no difference in using the patch or not. I am running the latest Argus 2.2.
I had the same problem with MediaPortal TV-server, but after applying this patch: TBS: CI/CAM support and other improvements it is working as planned again.
The only problem is that I want to run Argus instead of MediaPortal, but I can´t at the moment. Any hints or do I have to buy another card?
