Hi guys,
i tried to install the ArgusTV Tuner on a Windows 7 Enterprise. The OS is installed on VM which installed on ESXi 5.1 Host. Version of the Virtual Machine is vmx-09. I use two TeVii S660 Cards via USB-port passthrough to watch tv.
I can't scan for channels. Everytime when i start to the scan the cardsservice gets stopped and started again.
In the Recorder.log i can see only that the cards service gets restarted due to fatal error

In the event log of the OS the following event appears when the service gets restarted
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80004002): Schnittstelle nicht unterstützt
bei DirectShowLib.DsError.ThrowExceptionForHR(Int32 hr)
bei ArgusTV.Recorder.Graph.BdaGraphBase.RunGraph()
bei ArgusTV.Recorder.Card.Cards.CardBase.StartScanning()
bei ArgusTV.Recorder.Card.CardService.StartScanning()
Has anyone of you an idea why the error above occurs. The same setup was already working but i need to reinstall it because of a filesystem problem which destroyed the old vm. Did i miss to install something. I already updated Direct X and make sure that .Net 4 and C++ 2008 and 20010 redistibutable are install for x86. The OS itself is 64bit.

You can fix it, or you can fix it until it's broken. I usually choose the latter.

Re: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80004002)
Hi guys
i found the problem. A virtual soundcard was missing. After opening the vmware with vmworkstation and adding a sound device and then putting the vm back on the vmware server the error message was gone and a scan was possible.

Knud Loges
