Tried to make a donation today, the problem is, I'm required to have or create a Paypal account, and that is something that simply will not happen.
Perhaps you'd consider changing to the system used for ARGUS TV donations which doesn't require an account.
You can fix it, or you can fix it until it's broken. I usually choose the latter.

Server: WHS 2011. Hauppauge HVR 2200. Avermedia A835. ArgusTV Server. EPG Collector.
Clients: Win7 64bit. MediaPortal. ArgusTV Client. StreamedMP.

Thanks! Try to go via the project web page: https://code.google.com/p/for-the-record-to-lights-out/

If you press the "Donate" button at the bottom of the page, a new page will open up that basically looks the same as the Argus-TV donation page. There is an option at the bottom "Don't have a PayPal account? Use your credit card or bank account". Hope it helps.

Cheers,

Only brings up the page to create an account :(

Isn't that the same for Argus TV? Are you referring to a different donation system?

I am sorry for being so dim but this is just driving me mad I cannot get it to work I have done following ;

First downloaded ATV2LO wssx file extracted to folder and then run server.msi as per post below;
jayrock wrote:Hello Volker,

I never checked that version of Lights Out (actually I wasn't aware of a version for Windows 7 :-)). Have you already installed it?

If yes, can you please open the wssx file from the ATV2LO download page with 7-zip and just run server.msi. I would hope that it works just like that and you see the Lights Out calendar filling up. If not, please share the logs (under \programdata\ATV2LO\logs)

Cheers,

jayrock
Second I have downloaded ATV2LO service for ATV 2.1 Beta Zip. I have unzipped to a folder and tried to run commands in cmd but I am gettinmg no where. I so want this to work :evil:

I have manually copied contents of this zip to C:\Program Files\ATV2LO\ but I cannot get atv2loservice to ever start... the programdata\ATV2LO\logs directory is empty

What happens if you right click the .msi file and run as administrator?

Run as administrator does not appear as an option (it does for other executables but not the msi) but... Repair was a right-click option which I selected and it seems to have installed the "C:\Program Files\ATV2LO\ftr2loservice.exe" which is now running and has now generated a log in which it says
[INFO] [Ftr2LoService] 12/09/2013 18:36:00:: Start service. Version 2.1.0.2
Is that it... or do I need to unzip the ATV 2.1Beta Zip and run the command lines...?

As I mentioned previously this is a new build to replace existing ArgusTV server but with Win7 and Lights Out with ATV2LO, so if this is working :? :D , should I see a new tab in the LO console?.. I will next install tuner cards within new ArgusTV setup to populate LO schedule or will there be other signs of activity? I am away on business to mid next week so I am glad of this progress.

Thanks for your prompting.. dont know why service did not start originally

What version of lights out do you have installed?
