Argus TV Mobile (formerly ForTheRecord Mobile)

Post by Hameno » Wed Dec 08, 2010 8:22 pm

Update 2017/06/15: New update available!
I've had some time to update the app. This new release is based on the "old" rewrite of the original app.
It is not complete but supports Argus TV 2.3.0 and live streaming.
You can download the new version here

Update 2012/11/15:
New domain argus-tv-mobile.de (currently only redirects to the old one)

Update 2012/11/13:
In sync with the new Argus TV Release I'm gonna update and rename my app to Argus TV Mobile. This Thread will be updated accordingly in the near future.

Original Post
I'm happy to announce that the first Beta of my Android App is now available in the market.

Hi Hameno,
Downloaded the app onto a Dell Streak running Froyo.

Easy to setup over wifi to view the epg. Struggling at first to connect over the Internet but after opening port 49943 on my firewall it now connects OK (about 6-11 secs for initial sync with HSDPA). When I get out & about I'll see how it is on a slower network.

Interface scrolling is smooth and layout is clear. Would like to be able to view in landscape eventually but I guess you have a list.

I've had a few FC's and a couple of errors but am pretty impressed. Anything I can do to help test let me know.

Cheers,
Jon.

Thanks, could you please make a thread about the FCs and errors (with as much information as you can give, e.g. what you did and what happened) in my forum so that i can track them down. Also, please use the Report feature of the Android Market whenever possible.

And of course, rate it :)

nice start. I like the EPG UI. It's very fast as well.

one related suggestion: i'd ask for a subforum on 4tr rather than having a separate forum on your website.

Thanks, but I'd like to keep it separated since I'm not part of the ForTheRecord Dev-Team.

We can make a dedicated section, but it's up to you how you want to keep track of things. Let us know if we need to create something.

Wow, nice work! Downloaded and installed on HTC Desire running Froyo, interface is intuitive and slick, speed is good too. It takes me about 10 seconds to sync on HSDPA which I think is very fast! Can't wait for everything else to be implemented!

I will let you know of any bugs I spot

Look very good for now! It's really fast.
Always using the latest BETA/RC version (when available) in combination with MediaPortal and his TV Server.
