The Scan window is used to scan the cards in the system for (broadcasted) services.

Depending on the type of card you select, different options will be available. For DVB-S you can select one or more satellites, for DVB-T, DVB-C and ATSC you select a region.

Clicking Next, brings you to a frequency list, where you can optionally select all or a set of specific frequencies to scan.

When the scanning has started, feedback about the found services is shown in the panel. At any time you can abort the scanning using the abort button.

ICN INFO.PNG Information:

If you have multiple cards for the same services, it is only necessary to tune one card. You can then map the services to the other cards in ICN WIKI INLINE.PNGCard/Service Mapping

ICN QUESTION.PNG You can't find your provider in the drop-down list or don't know which frequencies to scan?

Please read our special article ICN WIKI INLINE.PNGScanning Parameters.

NIT

The NIT (Network Information Table) contains information about all channels broadcast on the broadcast network.

The idea is, receiver hardware can scan only the NIT data and build a full channel list from it. This can dramatically reduce scan times, and allows tuning of part time channels that are off air at the time of scanning.

ICN INFO.PNG Information:
NIT may not be available for your service.
