Restarting services

Post by daveb500 » Thu Dec 27, 2012 2:40 pm

I've had a couple of instances where somethingbhas gone wrong and I can't find any way to restart things without rebooting. With previous TV software I've used, they have had a "stop services" and a "start services" batch file which was really useful. Does such a thing exists? If not, could somebody assist me with creating them?

Hi daveb500!

Welcome to Argus TV & its forum.

You can create cmd file(s) containing

Code: Select all

net stop "ARGUS TV Scheduler"
net start "ARGUS TV Scheduler"
and

Code: Select all

net stop "ARGUS TV Recorder"
net start "ARGUS TV Recorder"
but they need Admin privileges.

Kind regards - Christoph
