Further development?

Post by michael123 » Tue May 31, 2016 7:31 am

Hi all,

i really love argustv and its webacess but i feel there are still points for improvment. Therefore I wanted to ask if there is any kind of development ongoing? Is this project almost dead?

well the big question is: are all sources available? I am not sure, because I am missing at least the webaccess part on github.

Dot-i was in the process of updating all the code to reflect GPL requirements to make it open source, then I believe the plan was to release it on Github. Unfortunately it appears that the last change on the recorder source code was in December 2015, on a new branch he was working on.

I'd love to make the changes to support native OpenTV and other EPG formats through plugins, as well as automatic updating of channels, channel numbers, HD/SD selection but unfortunately the EPG code is far too integrated in to the main recorder code to get that working for my code level  I probably should have another look since I fixed some issues on the Sky plugins for mediaportal TVE3...
