[SOLVED] No card found to record program

Post by Baserunner » Tue Dec 30, 2014 4:05 pm

Using Argus TV version 2.3 and facing the following problem:

When trying to start a live stream via the Scheduler Console I get a Info Screen:
No tuner was able to start the live stream.
When trying to record something via Scheduler EPG I get
No card found to record program
Using the manual record function via the Recorder Console Tuner Cards->Status->Record works as expected.

Argus TV worked very stable since yesterday morning - I am using it with XBMC usually - No idea what changed ...
Happy to upload logs if necessary - no idea how to do that in that forum ...

Upgrading to 2.3, I was using 2.3RC before, did not change anything. Nor did a un-install/re-installation.
No Mediaportal TV Server installed.

Any ideas appreciated - Thanks in advance.

Sounds like one of two things.

Either your channels are not mapped to the services.

Or your shares are no longer working as expected.
You can fix it, or you can fix it until it's broken. I usually choose the latter.

Server: WHS 2011. Hauppauge HVR 2200. Avermedia A835. ArgusTV Server. EPG Collector.
Clients: Win7 64bit. MediaPortal. ArgusTV Client. StreamedMP.

Thanks for the reply.
Either your channels are not mapped to the services
Opening the Recorder Console and navigating to "Channels & Services"->"Services" the services are mapped to the channels I want to see (guess that is meant?)
Or your shares are no longer working as expected.
I am not using shares. This is a singled seated installation - client and server on one machine - only local file systems.

Sound like my issue reported here:

viewtopic.php?f=49&t=5300

Do your logs show any info?

I don't think that the two problems are similar.

In your case the logs show that the recorder starts the live streaming. I would guess you can see "Live TV" via the scheduler and VLC?

I don't have similar log entries in my case. It seems that the request to start a live stream from any client (XBMC and scheduler) does not "reach" the recorder for some reason as I don't have any entries that the recorder switches to the requested channels.

I have a very similar problem.

Upgraded from the RC to release and I cannot record anything from the scheduler console.

the log throws:

2014-12-30 23:46:13.4090 [Warn ][Recordings Scheduler]: No free card found to record BBC TWO HD - Dave Allen: The Immaculate Selection

If I goto Live TV/Radio and try and start a live stream I get a dialogue box with "No Free Card was found to start the live stream"

Manual recording works fine from the recorder console.

Ooops. Should have read this thread properly, particularly andrewNZ post re channels not mapped to services.

seems that I lost the mapping, once I restored it now works fine....

Thanks andrewNZ

Found an error in the Recorder.Log. The Error-Message is pretty obvious, but still unable to fix it.

Test scenario is the following.

1) Started Computer
2) Started Scheduler Console
3) Tried to start Live Stream from Programs->Live TV/Radio
4) Error message: "No tuner was able to start the live stream."

The Log-Entry from Recorder.Log

Is it some setting in Scheduler Console->Settings?

OK, after playing around I checked the Web-Interface http://localhost:42080/en and found at the Status page that my "Disk used" is 100% ... (see snippet)

Still unable to fix this - where is this  setting  I need to change ...

Unfortunately yes - folder is shared for everyone and not 100% full.
