Upgrading from 2.2.2 to 2.3

I remember for 2.3RC there was specific things that need to be done inorder to update from 2.2.2 to 2.3 but I can not find any referances for updating to 2.3 final.

I am currently running 2.2.2 with MySQL and Kodi, what do I have to do to update to 2.3 without losing setting or databases? Do I need to uninstall 2.2.2 and install 2.3 or do I just install 2.3 and the installer will take care of the update?

On the 2.3 download page there is this message but no link to special instructions and I was unable to find any in the wiki.

There's no support or guides on upgrade.
