Recording current program while timeshifting

Hi, I was wondering about this; right now, when timeshifting, trying to record the current program will start the recording from "now", although the beginning of the program might have been recorded in the timeshift buffer.

Would it be possible to extract that part from the timeshift buffer as the initial content of the recording and then continue with the real time feed?
