Hello,
I am setting up Argus on a Server 2012 R2 (fresh build, .NET installed, BDA fix, etc). During the initial setup (2.2.1 or 2.3RC), the installer wont move past the Visual C++ 2013 install page.
I have spent over an hour on it restarting/cleaning/installing each package individually and also checking file versions of msvcr100.dll/msvcr120.dll in System32 & SYSWOW64. I have checked the file versions against what I have installed on a working Windows 8.1 Argus 2.3RC install. It all seems to merry up.
2.2 installs fine (VC++ 2010 runtimes).
Any assistance would be appreciated - is there a way to bypass the check until the bug is found?
Thanks

Is the last entry in this thread perhaps also applying to your situation?

Unfortunately I havent uninstalled anything, the system is quite stock. I'm hesitant to install SQL Server Express but will give it a try in case.
2.2 Worked fine (using mysql as I find it less system intensive).

Did you ever find a solution to this?

I'm having this problem also. You can find references to this dating back to 2012, so they must be checking for a specific version of the library instead of > whatever the current version was at build time.
