Schedule 1 (Record all Films with Actor "XXX", "YYY", ...)
- Normal Priority
- Unique Titles
- With Actor: XXX, YYY, ...
Schedule 2 (Record Series "AAA" where actor "XXX" is also in the cast)
- High Priority
- Episodes once
Upcoming Recordings:
- Although Schedule 2 has a higher priority then Schedule 1, only recordings for Schedule 2 are listed.
- And since Unique Titles is checked in Schedule 1, only the first upcoming Episode of the series is recorded.
- Schedule 2 is always overridden by Schedule 1.
===
Tried also:
Schedule 2a
- High Priority
- Episodes once
- With Actor: XXX
This worked when i created a new Schedule 3 for recording films with XXX.
The original Schedule 1 still overrides the changed Schedule 2.
All in all i think, that the recording engine is not considering the higher priority of Schedule 2 properly.
===
Update:
Matter of fact, it depends on when the Schedule was saved. The last saved schedule always "wins"!
When I save Schedule 2 or 2a after saving Schedule 1, then all Episodes are scheduled correctly.
when I save Schedule 1 first, then it wins and only the first episode is scheduled.
The priority is... well... in that case for nothing.

Re: recording priorities not considered properly
Hi Werner K
This is known.
In addition: the most recent saved schedule with given priority always "looses"
Changing priority may solve some conflicts, this is a long-since known issue.
By the way: the resolve-rate of shows using the Argus TV Recorder is by far higher than if you're using the MePo TV-Server - I have two Recorder Servers using either/or.
But this is a huge & complex issue which we will probably not being able to solve.. Sorry.

Me too, Werner.
The code is extremely complex, I was just able to do some minor changes yet and am running them locally - nothing of much interest.
But to touch the scheduling algorithm... puh.... my feeling is, that I could only make it "worse"...
Kind greetz and a nice week-end - Chris
