Scheduler can't stream live

Post by Kevz65 » Fri Oct 10, 2014 9:13 am

Hi

I can record a live stream in the recorder mobile but I get tune failed in the scheduler console.

I've checked the shares and then are fine. I've checked the firewall and they are all fine. I can ping the recording service from the scheduler no problems too.

I have the same problem when trying to watch from a client.

I'm tearing my hair out at the moment!

Spec :
Windows 2008 server r2
Tbs 6982 dvb s

Hi Kevz65
And what are your clients specs? Do you have any client, from which you can actually watch live streams?
Leave your hair..! :)

Scheduler can't stream live

Post by Kevz65 » Sat Oct 11, 2014 9:42 am

Hi Chris.
Thanks for the reply.

The client is XBMC. I have no client that works. Only the recorder console is able to record. As I mentioned before the scheduler console gives me 'failed to tune'.

I should add that both the recorder service and scheduler are on the same pc. I will post logs in the next few hours.

Hi!
If you get ¨failed to tune¨, you´ll also get no live streaming from within scheduler console, I guess? Scheduler Console --> Live TV
Those XBMC clients - on which OS´ are they running?
And usually, with your cards, also some media software is delivered - is this properly streaming live TV?

Scheduler can't stream live

Correct. Live streaming doesn't work from scheduler console either. The OS is all windows but I don't think it's a client problem.

I used to use my card with tvheadend in Linux. Worked fine.

Ok, then we don´t have to mess around with client things for the time being. First, streaming in Scheduler Console must work (if you installed VLC properly? Pls note, that eg a portable VLC version would not be enough - you need the reg entries - not for later claients, but for streaming from Scheduler Console)
Scanning process went well?
You said, recordings are working - do you have prior to a proper recordings one or more ¨failed to tune¨ error msgs in the log, as well?

I have a full VLC install done - seems to be working fine.
Scanning goes without a hitch - all is good here.

Recording works fine from the recording console (Status section)

Here are various logs, after i go to Scheduler Console > Live TV/Radio:

Do you have a recent recording with that card of BBC Two Eng?
If so, could you drop please also a snippet from those log entries?
Your logäbove clearly says ¨no signal¨

it seems like i can no longer get streaming working in the recorder console either. 'No signal' error. I reinstalled ARgus TV, but no luck.

I scanned for channels from scratch and found 800 services. Mapped these to channels but still get no signal now in both the recorder and scheduler console :(

I thought so. This error message comes either with both - recording and live TV - or not at all.
1. In recorder console, all channels are mapped to the found services? If you find per channel more than one service, try for a single channel each sequentially with Live TV
2. Check in Scheduler Console that the recorder is reachable and shares are accessible. Make sure, that the recorders address starts with ¨https¨ not ¨net tcp¨. To stay on the safe side, delete the recorder and add it again as a new one.

If not successful, then I would try
1. Uninstall & reinstall drivers - make sure, BDA is selected (if selectable)
2. Reboot and try again with Argus
3. Try with MediaPortal TV Server (which could then also be used with Argus directly; you have to add in scheduler console a MP recorder and deactivate or delete)
