I have the following problem.
I have a livingroompc on windows 7 x64, with Argus TV (now on 2.2.1) and xbmc. This is al working perfect.
In the bedroom I have an openelec (xbmc) client, which awakes the livinroompc when turned on. I choose a channel and can watch it, but after 15 minutes it goes to sleep and my live tv is disconnected.
Also on my tablet, phone (both android) and my laptop (debian x64 testing, but xbmc 12.3) I have the same problem.
How to keep my livinroompc awake when using Live TV.
I never had this problem with mediaportal, but I switched to xbmc because it runs on linux.
Standby Argus TV when connected to xbmc client.
Re: Standby Argus TV when connected to xbmc client.
Did you set your windows power-management to sleep/suspend the PC when being idle after 15mins?
I've set mine that way, but I am quite sure that ARGISTV prevents it from sleeping while being actively in use (even with no user logged in).
However, as it does not work for your setup, try another tool, like lights-out or observer.
For example, since your usecase is liveTV to a remote client, I'd set the level of network traffic to an appropriate value.

If you don't mind, can you elaborate on how you configured this in your client?DJvL wrote:In the bedroom I have an openelec (xbmc) client, which awakes the livinroompc when turned on.

Ah, thanks..I'll give it a look.
BTW: observer can be found here: http://observer.dk2.de/
I am using it with win7-64bit...it can also integrate processes (including load) in the trigger/monitoring and it is free.

Re: Standby Argus TV when connected to xbmc client.
The only thing I want, is that an xbmc client keeps argus-tv awake even if I'm not watching live-tv/recordings.
The solution you give is the same I'm already using. I use smartpower.
Smartpower is checking which ip's are awake, so if my bedroom htpc is on, it keeps my livingroom pc with argus tv awake.
The con is that when I use it for ip's on my laptop or android devices, which are also on when not using xbmc, the server stay's awake too.
/edit
Plain simple:
The argus tv client plugin has to tell the argus tv server to stay awake, which is not working atm.
