Video Duration Incorrect When Edl File is Present

I posted this over at Kodi, but was curious if anyone here had an idea?

Hello,

When I playback my .ts files with an associated edl file, the duration of the total file is incorrect. For example, if it is a 1 hour recording, the duration is 45 minutes. Once I get past 45 minutes skipping not longer works as the player thinks I am past the end of the file. Even though there is an edl file, that just skips the duration should always be reported as the full length. Does anyone have this issue or know how to fix it?

I use argus tv to record, but the playback is the same whether started through the videos section or recorded tv in the live tv section.
