Single Subchannel not found on ClearQAM

Post by RedPenguin » Thu Feb 13, 2014 7:01 am

My setup is Win 7 with an HDHomeRun DUAL with only ClearQAM cable.

I was able using QAM (STD) to find all of my channels except one for some reason.

The one in question is 84.11.

The channel 84 has the following map according to the HDHomeRun itself's Config software for Windows.

84.1
84.2
84.3-84.6 (all 4 encrypted)
84.7
84.8
84.9-84.10 (both encrypted)
84.11
84.12

Now the HDHomeRun Setup program and MediaPortal Server (was using this before Argus's server) both find 84.11 yet no matter how many times I attempt to scan Argus's server keeps missing 84.11.

Is there somewhere in a config file or database even that I can just manually tell Argus that the channel exists? I record from this channel a lot so I desire to have it fixed.

Update:

I have tried on two separate machines and even tried my HVR-950Q card vs my HDHomeRun. I also tried NIT-scanning, and nothing at all seems to be seeing the 84.11.

I know the channels are most likely stored in the database (MySQL in my case since MediaPortal already had it installed) but I don't want to ruin my entire setup to attempt to insert the channel, especially since I've never really modified an SQL database by hand.

Code: Select all

That's from my tuning log, but I don't understand why it says "Found 12" when that's clearly only showing 11.

Can I at least manually enter code into the MySQL database so I can manually add this channel and stop using both pieces of software unnecessarily?

EDIT: I attempted to do this by changing PID 10 to 11 but it kept refusing to tune to that channel.

I am totally out of ideas on this, mainly because I don't even understand why it can't find the channel to begin with.

Single Subchannel not found on ClearQAM

Every now and then even with this subchannel on MP 1.6 Argus Scheduler ends up with failed to tune channel yet MP itself works great with the subchannel.

I've found it more stable to just use MP for now with manual records without the Argus MP plugin until one day the Argus MP and/or Argus Recorder is fixed.

I have the same cable company as RedPenguin and am experiencing the exact same issue.

No matter how many times I scan, I never find 84.11 yet I find 84.1, 2, 7, 8, & 12, the rest are encrypted.

Is there any way to fix this? Like RedPenguin said, modify a database and manually insert it?

Which entry in cables.xml did you use?

Pardon my ignorance, but I did not mess with cables.xml afaik, I only did a "ClearQAM STD" scan.

So I am not 100% sure how to answer your question.
