Argus TV Mobile (formerly ForTheRecord Mobile)
Re: ForTheRecord Mobile
Okay, got the report now. Will look into it this evening
Re: ForTheRecord Mobile
Hi Hameno,
Looks like your site is down. I am looking for setting up the app for access on the internet. I have added the port in NAT. Is there something I need to do on the HTPC as well?
Thanks,
Srikanth

Very strange, gonna look into that.skoka123 wrote:Hi Hameno,

EDIT: Should work. Clear your cache to be sure
You have to forward the correct port (49941) to the ftr server. Then in the profile you have to choose SSL and enter the correct username/password. In the IP you have to enter you external IP or better a dyndns-hostname pointing to your public/external ip. The port field should be left blank - it will automatically choose the correct port.skoka123 wrote: I am looking for setting up the app for access on the internet. I have added the port in NAT. Yes. It is working now and I did not clear any cache.
What would be user id and password? Is it the same as the FTR web access'?

Re: ForTheRecord Mobile
I am still having trouble. I get the message "Could not connect to the server using the provided information. Continue anyway?"
This is what I am doing.
Name: Some Profile Name
Host: WAN IP address
Port : Left Blank also tried with 49941
SSL : enabled
User Name: FTR Web Accesss user id
Password: FTR web access password
I have done port forwarding to the HTPC for port 49941 and 49943
What else should I do to connect. I am able to connect FTR web access over the internet.

Re: ForTheRecord Mobile
Hmm strange, is your smartphone connected via wifi or umts/gprs when you tested it?
Edit: You can connect to the web interface? Maybe you could write me a PM with your current IP and I could test if the ports are really working...
Btw: You should only open the SSL port, on the non-SSL port anyone could connect without any credentials and access your pc.

Re: ForTheRecord Mobile
OK, I got it working now. It seems like there was some problem with the wifi.
Re: ForTheRecord Mobile
Ahh yes, normally you can't connect to your external ip from within the local network (-> wifi). On some routers you can enable nat loopback (access external ip from within the local net) but most cannot do that.

Re: ForTheRecord Mobile
First I like to say, that I love the app. But I notice every time when I need to select a channel, I swipe over or before the channel I need. That is because it stops every time to load the epg, that doesn’t make it feel very smooth. I was thinking is it not an idea to make the channels static? A page with channels and when you click a channel the epg will be loaded. I think that gives a better user experience.
