General

Benefit

Digital Devices Products are designed ultra compact and normaly in low-profile format. You can operate up to 8 Tuners, using one Mainboard Bracket! Also, you can connect the Digital-Devices CI and link that up to 4 tuner (your CAM must support MTD too).

You can mix Receiving-Types DVB-T/-C/-S2, connected to a Cine-Card or a Bridge. So you are able, using -as example- a Cine S2 as main card and connect 2 DuoFlex CT on the extension slots, to get 2 Tuners of each receiving type (DVB-T/-C/-S2).

Feel free to extend your setup everytime and with all combinations, using a new bracket.

Known Issues

- CT-Versions supports only one decryption through Hardware-CI for each tuner, so you have to setup a cam-limit of 1!
Some user's reports, that the MediaPortal-TV-Server handle this better (against ARGUS TV) and without error. We can not confirm this, at the moment - so please try and report. Thanks!

Install and preparing your cards

Prepare your system

The manufacturer recommends for proper operation:

- deactivate (CPU/PCIE) "Spread Spectrum" within BIOS
- set PCI-frequency fix to 100 within BIOS, these setting can also be called "PCIe Frequency", "PCIe Overclocking" or "BCLK/PEG Frequency". this can be important, if you have trouble with connected CI

install driver

Digital Devices provides one general driver for Cine-, DuoFlex-Series, Max, Bridge- and CI-Modul.

Download the driver, related to your Operating System, from the ICN WEB INLINE.PNG Digital Devices Download Site

Install the downloaded file, the setup is self explained, a reboot is required after installation.

Setup using CineConfig

Troubleshooting

Signal Quality

It's known, that DVB-Cards from Digital-Devices needs better signal-quality as other manufacturer. So, please use high quality signal cables, splitter and amplifier!

How to improve signal quality

- If you daisy chaining your cards (CT-Versions), it can be important in which order you're doing this. As example, a Cine CT has a much higher Output-attenuation as a DuoFlex CT, so you should begin the loop at a DuoFlex.
