About

This page allows you to do two things. First you can see what channels are available, as well as active Streams, Recordings, Suggestions and Alerts. Secondly, it allows you to stop a live stream, or start and view a new one.

This is different to the ARGUS TV Recorder Console, Status page. ARGUS TV Recorder Console only displays information for cards connected to it. This page shows Information for all connected Recorder Tuners, along with Guide and schedule data.

ICN INFO.PNG Information:
Viewing live streams through the Management Console requires VLC media player. VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player that plays most multimedia files as well as DVD, Audio CD, VCD, and various streaming protocols. It can be found ICN WEB INLINE.PNG here

Channel List

The top pane of this window shows the current and next programs for each channel in your guide. If there are active streams, Recordings, Suggestions or Alerts the icon for these will be displayed beside the program.

Channels with grey text, are unavailable due to a lack of available tuners. If you feel the list is displaying old information, the "Refresh" button will refresh the list.

Clicking the channel name will select the channel, clicking on a program will bring up the program description from the guide. If you select an available channel and click "Start Live Stream", ARGUS TV will start the stream and attempt to open it in VLC media player.

Active Live Streams

The lower pane of this window shows the current active live streams.

You can open or stop a selected active live stream using the appropriate buttons below the pane.

ICN INFO.PNG Information:
Stopping a live stream will affect any client currently viewing that stream.
